In recognition of his immense contribution to new knowledge, human resource capital and the science-led transformation of agriculture towards the alleviation of hunger and poverty in India and the Asia Pacific Region, Prof. Ram Badan Singh has been awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Hon’ble President of India – one of India’s highest civilian honours that recognizes distinguished service of a high order to the Nation in any field, in 2003.

The founder, Confederation of Horticulture Associations of India (CHAI (Formerly DDG(Hort.)), ICAR, Vice-Chancellor, RAU, Bihar

Dr H.P. Singh headed international organisation and committees besides heading many national committees. He was also in-charge for many positions at DDG, ICAR & headed RAU, Bihar as Vice Chancellor

He is the recipient of 3 international awards, 35 national awards and 11 Fellowship including fellow NAAS. He made difference everywhere at every position.

Dr. Rajinder Parshad

Fellow & Ex-President ISEE, Former Assistant Director-General (Agril. Extn.) ICAR, New Delhi

Dr Rajinder Parshad, superannuated as Assistant Director General (Agril. Extn.), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in June 2007 after serving the ICAR for over three decades including Head, Division of Technology Evaluation & Transfer at Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, Karnal. He did his PhD Extension Education with Honours in 1973 from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. He is an active researcher in Predictive modelling of agri-technology under different resource endowments, Technology matrices for management of salt-affected soils and poor quality waters, validated training modules for agri-knowledge management at the KVK, and Impact assessment of planned interventions, etc.

Former Prof.  & Head, Division of Agricultural Chemicals, ICAR, New Delhi

Dr. A.K. Dixit lead the division of Agricultural Chemicals, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. He made a commendable difference in the field of agriculture, making a mark of his presence wherever he joined.

Who can apply/nominate

Individual farmers.

Institutions, State Governments, Agricultural Universities, Civil Society Organizations, Farming Producers Organization (FPO), Research Institutions/ Centers, ICAR institutes, Farming Federations/Associations/SHGs.

Assessment Criteria

Applicants/nominees will be assessed on a wide array of criteria including increasing yield and Income, ecological regeneration, the use of innovative practices, the creation of market linkages and the motivation for other farmers.

How to apply

Fully completed application forms* (as attached) are to be sent with all supporting documents (including photographs, certificates, awards and/or appreciation letters, etc.) to DIAA Jury at Dhanuka Agritech Limited, Gurugram office at any time until the February 28, 2018. Application may be filled only in Hindi or English language. The mailing address is as follows:

What is the selection process?

All applications and nominations received by the February 28, 2018 will be screened for their suitability as per the details provided in the application/nomination form.

MULTIDISCIPLINARY DIAA JURY will screen the shortlisted nominees and zeroed down of most outstanding nomination.

Can a farmer be nominated for this award?

Yes. Forms can be filled either as:

An application by an individual practicing farmer. or

A nomination/recommendation of an outstanding individual farmer by of Agricultural Institutions, State Governments, Agricultural Universities, Civil Society Organizations, Farming Producers Organization (FPO) and/or Farming Federations /Associations.

Terms & Conditions

1. Dhanuka Innovative Agriculture Awards (DIAA) is an independent initiative of Dhanuka Agritech Limited to reward and recognize Farmers, SHG, Village Panchayat & Agri Institutions Agri – Input Dealer & Distributor etc. and this is not any way associated, initiated or promoted by Government Bodies or Agencies.
2. By applying for these Awards, the applicant will be deemed to have read and understood the terms and conditions and be bound by them.
3. Applications which are not complete in every respect are liable to be out – rightly rejected.
4. Applicants should provide their updated details with bio data.
5. The Awards will be judged by a Multidisciplinary DIAA Jury appointed by the Company and their decision will be binding and final and no further correspondence will be entertained.
6. DIAA Jury reserves the right at its absolute discretion to reject any application that it deems inappropriate.
7. Applicant should fill the nomination form either in Hindi or in English Language only.
8. Application must be signed by the person responsible for submitting the application and to whom all correspondence regarding the Awards would be sent.
9. Fully completed application forms with all supporting documents (including photographs, certificates, awards and/or appreciation letter, etc.) are to be sent to DIAA Jury, at Dhanuka Agritech Limited, 14th Floor, Building 5A, Cyber City, DLF Phase – III, Gurugram – 122002 (Haryana), Nomination form can also be downloaded from www.dhanuka.com. Applicant may also fill the online Application on the same website, or can send soft copy directly through email awards@dhanuka.com so as to reach on or before February 28, 2018. Applications received after February 28, 2018 will not be entertained.
10. DIAA Jury can verify credential, information and document which have been submitted by selected applicant to their satisfaction by themselves or through their representatives/agency. If any credential, information and document is found to be incorrect /or misleading, then the application will be rejected.
11. The application form along with documents received in this regard will be the sole property of the company which can be used by the company in any manner it deems appropriate.
12. Dhanuka Agritech Limited shall not be responsible for any lost, late or mislaid application and any application which is damaged, defaced, illegible or incomplete or which otherwise does not comply with terms and conditions and may be deemed invalid by the DIAA Jury.
13. The company reserves the right to change the Award process as deemed fit.
14. An applicant should submit only one application. Two or more applications from a single applicant are liable to be rejected.
15. Details of the winners will be publicized on our website and winners will be informed by Email/Letter.
16. Courts of Gurugram will enjoy exclusive jurisdiction over any matter of dispute.
Travelling, lodging and boarding expenses of Award Winners along with one accompanying colleague OR one family member (Total No – 2 only including awardee) in all categories will be borne and decided by the DIAA Committee.
